Your tasks
- Develop and maintain features for STACKIT's compute products, covering generic server capabilities, GPU servers, and confidential computing
- Contribute upstream to open source projects such as OpenStack and YAOOK, and modify virtualization technology where needed to enable product features
- Optimize virtual machine performance, including live migration
- Introduce new generations of machine types and extend the compute product portfolio
- Evaluate and integrate GPU and confidential computing technologies
Your profile
- Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) and Python
- Solid experience with OpenStack in a production environment
- Strong understanding of Linux virtualization — KVM, QEMU, and libvirt
- Hands-on experience operating infrastructure at scale, with a focus on reliability and automation
- Comfort working close to the metal: kernel behaviour, hypervisor internals, and low-level debugging don't intimidate you
