Schwarz Digits Spain is the central Digital and IT hub in Barcelona, supporting the strategy of the Schwarz Group – including Lidl, Kaufland, and PreZero – to prioritize internal technological development as a primary driver of growth.

Advanced Capabilities in Cloud, Cybersecurity, and IT Operations From the hub, cloud and cybersecurity services are developed and operated to ensure continuous support for the group operations. A key role is played by the location in the development of the group’s own cloud system, STACKIT. This long-term strategic commitment strengthens European technological sovereignty and reduces dependence on critical infrastructure from third-party providers.
