Schwarz Digits expands the data & AI ecosystem and integrates Celonis and Snowflake

  • Schwarz Digits is strategically expanding the data and AI ecosystem on its sovereign cloud platform, STACKIT, to include leading European and global technology partners.
  • European Cloud Alliance with Celonis: The AI platform from Germany will run as a single-tenant solution on the STACKIT infrastructure in the future.
  • Integration with Snowflake: Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud will be gradually integrated, with encryption at STACKIT.

Wiesbaden, Germany, 17th September 2026 – At Cloud X Summit by STACKIT at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden, Schwarz Digits, the IT and digital division of Schwarz Group, announced the strategic expansion of its partner ecosystem in the field of data and AI. With the integration of leading data and AI specialists Celonis and Snowflake, Schwarz Digits is expanding STACKIT's data and AI ecosystem. This gives customers freedom of choice and access to leading AI and data platforms of European and global providers.

Data and AI Ecosystem Gives Customers Freedom of Choice

This strategic step marks the beginning of a broader portfolio expansion, in which additional leading AI and data partners will be gradually integrated into the STACKIT ecosystem. Enterprise customers and public-sector institutions can flexibly combine customized AI tools and integrate them into their existing architectures without becoming dependent on individual providers.

“For us, digital sovereignty does not mean technological isolation. We intend to provide innovative and leading key technologies on a sovereign platform. This gives our customers the freedom and access to innovative and leading European and global data and AI platforms,” explains Bernd Wagner, CSO of Schwarz Digits. “Our collaborations with Celonis and Snowflake impressively demonstrates that European digital sovereignty and cutting-edge international technology go hand in hand. Together, we lay the foundation for a competitive digital future in Europe.”

European Cloud Alliance for AI-Powered Process Optimization with Celonis

The platform from Celonis, an AI company specialised on Operational Intelligence, will in the future be deployed directly in an exclusive cloud environment (single-tenant solution) on STACKIT’s infrastructure. With the platform and the Celonis Context Model, companies and organizations lay the foundation for the successful use of AI. Process intelligence analyzes and optimizes highly complex processes in real time. This requires maximum computing power and low latency, criteria that the STACKIT cloud has demonstrably met in extensive testing.

This solution is available through three different sales models: Directly through STACKIT, through Celonis, and through joint partners.

“Many companies and organizations need AI solutions that deliver economic added value and at the same time give them the opportunity to maintain their digital sovereignty,” said Florian Schewior, Senior Director at Celonis. “This is guaranteed by our Celonis context model and the cooperation. Schwarz Digits provides a confident and powerful cloud infrastructure and Celonis the platform with which companies can effectively use AI.”

Phased Integration of Snowflake for Strong Data Control

At the Cloud X Summit by STACKIT, Schwarz Digits and Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, announced their intent to collaborate strategically. The technical integration will unfold through a series of progressively building phases: In the initial phase the customer data will be stored in STACKIT in Apache Iceberg(™), an open-source format, so that data remains accessible and operable under conditions where the primary technology vendor is unavailable. Customer data will be encrypted leveraging the integration with STACKIT Key Management System (KMS), enabling customers to manage their encryption keys directly within the STACKIT infrastructure. These foundational steps pave the way for data sovereignty by ensuring that key material remains under the customer’s control via STACKIT.

A higher tier of data sovereignty should be reached in further expansion phases. Together, the two organisations aim to run Snowflake’s AI Data Platform natively on the STACKIT cloud, enabling data storage and computing power on infrastructure in Europe.

“The collaboration with Schwarz Digits marks an important milestone for our customers in the DACH region and across Europe, who have extremely high standards for compliance and data protection,” emphasizes Jonah Rosenboom, Snowflake’s Country Manager for Germany. “Together, we are building a bridge between a globally established data architecture and local digital sovereignty. Like this, we empower companies to securely unlock the full potential of their data.”
